If you’re looking to host a bright, fun, and upbeat tournament filled with color, a carnival or circus theme might be right for you!

There are endless possibilities when it comes to carnival-themed décor, activities, and food. Immerse your participants in the world of the carnival!

DÉCOR

-Name your tables after animals. Elephant, bear, lion, alligator, and monkey are great choices. Theme the décor of that table after the animal in question, whether you choose a stuffed animal centerpiece, place card with a photograph of the animal, or even just the word itself.

-Incorporate as many bright colors as possible! Red and white stripes are standard circus-tent colors, but don’t be afraid to fill your space with all of the colors. Bright blues, vivid greens, neon pinks, and sunshine yellows will make every detail pop! Your guests will feel like little kids again.

-Invest in oodles of balloons! Cover the ceiling with them, stand them in large bunches, and use them in your centerpieces. There’s never such a thing as “too many balloons” when you’re hosting a carnival/circus event.

ACTIVITIES

-Have your participants dress up! Ask them to wear their best clown attire (if your course allows it) or simply have a costume contest.

-Let your guests play games! Cornhole, bottle ring tosses, and prize wheels will all help your event transcend from tournament to carnival.

-Bring in some clowns! Whether they make balloon animals, do face paint, or perform comedy, they’re sure to create the goofy and lively atmosphere you’re looking for.

-Make incredible and memorable photo opportunities by getting a photo booth with silly props and a photo stand-in board. These pictures will be shared by your attendees, which means free marketing for you for next year’s tournament.

-To keep with the golf theme, you can have mini golf extreme challenge holes! Build insane obstacles and challenge your participants to try to get a hole-in-one. The closest putt wins a prize!
